Introducing Jay Billington Bulworth

For the last couple of years I've been posting on various Facebook groups under this pseudonym, Jay Billington Bulworth. The concept of the character was originally supposed to be a pseudonym for my school paper. Unfortunately I just got lazy and turned Bulworth into a run of the mill internet troll. I had no interest in posting under my real identity since at the time that profile was tied directly to my school email and I didn't like the idea that someone could trace me like that.

Bulworth was my first real experience with internet trolling. At first the character was just a foul mouth douchebag who insulted everyone who had a different opinion than he did - opinions which were of course often completely outlandish and indefensible. After a while I discovered that there were people in real life - that were college educated no less, that took really dumb positions or had stupid rationalizations for their beliefs and eventually Bulworth became a counter to those people. In the process, I found out that the maintaining the Bulworth character had improved my writing and research skills and gave me a better sense of humour. Instead of allowing some of his postings to disappear into the messageboard archives for good, I've decided to post them on this blog.

I'll probably put some effort into editing various mistakes out before posting them here. Also, the nature of a messageboard means that I can only post stuff that started off original threads. It would completely screw up the layout and add unnecessary confusion if I started to post people's replies to my posts or my replies to other people's posts without proper context. Also, keep in mind (not that I have any readers so why would I even bother warning you of such things) that I was a troll. These opinions are not necessarily my own. Some of them are positions of a certain political persuasion taken to the extreme in order to garner a response while others are just my frustration with the political climate at the time. Some posts are just utter bullshit I pulled out of my ass to screw with people.
